Given unto Us

"According as his divine power hath given
unto us all things that pertain unto life and
godliness, through the knowledge of him
that hath called us to glory and virtue:"
2 Peter 1:3

Under the old covenant, God kept telling
Israel about the Messiah and Redeemer,
showing them pictures of redemption in
what is called types and shadows.

Thousands of years passed, and people
continued waiting for God's redemptive
promises to be fulfilled.

Then Jesus came to earth, fulfilling the
will of God through His death, burial and
resurrection. What was a promise is now
a fulfilled fact.

Now, God says, "I've done My part." The
responsibility to act switched from Him to
us.
