"After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. . .'Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.
And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.' . . . .
Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, 'Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.'"
Luke 10:1,8-9,17
"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you even to the end of the age.'"
Matthew 28:18-20
Jesus announced that all authority had been given to Him, and He delegated that authority to the disciples.
They were to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them whatever Jesus had taught, including healing, casting out demons and raising the dead.
"And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.'"
Mark 16:15-18
Healing and deliverance belong to those who are disciples of the Lord; not only the right to be healed and delivered, but also the authority to minister healing and deliverance to others.
These things will follow those who believe, if those who believe are willing to do what Jesus said.
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.'"
John 14:12-14
This is true for whoever believes in Jesus.
They will be able to do His works, and even greater works.
This is because, when Jesus ascended into heaven, He would send them the Holy Spirit, who would empower them for these works.
"Then He said to them, 'Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And you are witnesses of these things.
Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.'"
Luke 24:46-49
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.'"
Acts 1:8
