Given the fact that we have become God the Father's children entirely out of His will, we have nothing to do but to thank and praise Him for it.
That is what the Apostle Paul is teaching us in the first chapter of Ephesians, making it clear to all of us that have reached our salvation by believing in the Gospel according to the will of the Father.
We are now living in this world as His children, but sometimes we get disappointed when we see our weaknesses and shortcomings i.e. sins. Despite them, God the Father has saved us perfectly in Jesus Christ through the Gospel. It's true that even as we try to follow the Lord faithfully, sometimes we fall into despair over our sins. However, this should only deepen our faith and make us even more thankful to God for planning and achieving our salvation.
