Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ Who loved us, gave Himself for us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood; and to the Church, which is His body.

Living by Faith

"For therein is the righteousness of God
revealed from faith to faith: as it is written,
The just shall live by faith."
Romans 1:17

Faith meant nothing to most Romans.

Paul knew that faith was a necessary
part of a relationship with God. He
desired to teach it in his letter to the
Romans.

In the first chapter, Paul wrote about the
"obedience of faith" (vs. 5). And how the
faith of the Romans was being declared
throughout the world (vs.8). And how it
is key to the Christian life (vs.12). And
how "the righteousness of God is revealed

from faith to faith" (vs 17).

Paul describes how we are "justified by
faith apart from works of the Law" (3:28).
How "having been justified by faith, we
have peace with God" (5:1). And how
"faith comes from hearing and hearing

by the word of Christ" (10:17). And how
each one of us has been given "a measure

of faith" (12:3).

The world is full of people who think only
about material things. Faith is foolishness
to them. They encourage Christians to
seek them and wordly reward. Paul would
remind us that faith must be the rock of
our lives.

Be a person of faith!

"without faith it is impossible to please
Him" Hebrews 11:6

Angels in Heaven

"And all the angels stood round about the
throne, and about the elders and the four
beasts, and fell before the throne on
their faces, and worshipped God,"
Revelation 7:11

In the Bible we see that Heaven is filled
with worship. No one ever gets tired of
worshipping God. Nothing else is import-
ant. The worship is glorious and exhilarating
and it is led by the angels.

The Bible also reminds us that worship is
a key to getting into the presence of God
and releasing the flow of His power.

We can worship anywhere. . . .anytime
night or day. We can worship silently,
even at work or in a meeting. We can
worship aloud in our cars or homes. We
can worship by ourselves or with others.

But wherever we are, we need to be wor-
shippers. . . .grateful people who are
conscious of His presence and all He has
done for us.

Join with the angels! Worship God!

Praise Him in word and song!

Angels

"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent
forth to minister for them who shall be
heirs of salvation?" Hebrews 1:14

The Bible tells us that angels are minister-
ing spirits, sent out to render service for the
sake of those who will inherit salvation.

Angels are powerful! In fact a single angel
destroyed the mighty Assyrian army.
"And the LORD sent an angel, which cut
off all the mighty men of valour, and the
leaders and captains in the camp of the
king of Assyria." 2 Chronicles 32:21

Angels delivered God's judgment and
carried His messages to people like Gideon
and Elijah, Mary and Peter. Their appear-
ances produces terror making it necessary
for them to say, "Fear not."

They are God's servants, always available
to do His will.

They are not weak as some artist picture
them to be, but strong, with power beyond
imagination.

God can do anything, and His angels are
more powerful than any enemy. Trust in
them today!

READY FOR GOD TO MOVE!

"Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof,
the LORD that formed it, to establish it;
the LORD is his name;
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and

shew thee great and mighty things which
thou knowest not."
Jeremiah 33:2-3

When Jeremiah obeyed God, he delivered
a very unpopular message: Jerusalem
would be taken by Babylon.

Instead of responding to God's warnings,
the leaders sent Jeremiah to prison. It
must have seemed a hopeless situation
to him; but God spoke to him there.

God reminded him that He had created
the world. And that He was greater than
kings and nations. If Jeremiah would look
to Him, God would move in a new way and
shew him great and mighty things, which he
knowest not.

This encouraging word also applied to God's
people of Israel, because they also faced a
situation that seemed impossible. They
were opposed by the mighty army of Baby-
lon and God had warned of judgment for
their idolatry.

From prison, God's words must have
sounded unbelievable to Jeremiah. But
they were true. God could change any
situation.

These promises need to be remembered
when we look at the nation of Israel today.
They are surrounded by enemies and out-
numbered. But none the less, God still
loves them, and His promises are true. He
will fulfill His plan for them, no matter
how difficult it appears.

These words are also true for all of us!
No matter how overwhelming problems
may be or how impossible they may be
to solve. God is mighty! And more
powerful than any problem!
