Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ Who loved us, gave Himself for us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood; and to the Church, which is His body.

God is Full of Faith

"God is faithful, by whom you were called
into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ
our Lord."
1 Corinthians 1:9

"God is faithful, who will not allow you to be
tempted beyond what you are able."
1 Corinthians 10:13

The Scriptures testify that God is faithful.
The Hebrew for "faithful" is "aman".
It sounds much like "amen". They are

cousins and follow the principle of faith.
When we say "amen", which is so be it, it
means that we are agreeing and believing for
that prayer to be answered.
It is not a "sign-off" to a prayer.

The Greek word for "faithful" is the same
word for "faith".
Our God is very much a God of faith.
In fact, He is "full of faith" as the English
word literally implies.

The nature of Biblical faith is to believe the
Word of God.
If we don't believe God and what He has
said, then in Bible terms, we are in unbelief.

The World's Faith

There is a faith that comes from God and a
faith that comes from the world.
The faith that comes from the world teaches
us to trust in ourselves and to be moved by
circumstances.
It conditions us to be lead by our own under
standing and to rely on our own thoughts,
emotions and senses.

The faith that comes from God brings us into
total dependence upon Him, leaning fully on
His Word and the promises He has given us.

This is the Bible kind of faith. It comes from
God and it always leads us back to Him.

Ears to Hear

Jesus doesn't say to us, "Have great faith
yourselves." But He does say, "Have the faith
of God."
God's faith is all-sufficient and we can have it
and use it.
We can take Christ for our faith as we took Him
for our justification, for our victories over
temptation, for our sanctification.
We can then rest in the assurance that our
faith hasn't failed to meet the demands of the
promise, because it has been Christ's own
faith.

Everyone of us can have the faith that comes
from God. He offers it to us as a gift.

For by grace are we saved through faith, it is
a gift of God.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the
Word of God.
As long as we have ears to hear the Word of
God, we can have what God says.

Faith Comes From God

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have
faith in God."
Mark 11:22

Faith is not something we work up for
ourselves.
It doesn't come from us, but from God.

A more literal way of saying it in the Greek
text is "Have faith of God."
This reading is supported by several
translations.

Faith originated with God; and those who
have real faith have His faith.

There is a difference between "faith in God"
and the "faith of God". The latter is perfect
faith with no doubt mixed in.

Love

"Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do
for the brethren and for strangers, who
have borne witness of your love before the
Church."
3 John 5

The Bible says that faith expresses itself
through love.

Everything in life is all about God.
Absolutely everything!

Every good thing comes from Him, works
because of Him and finds its fulfillment in
Him.
It follows that faithfulness, too, is all about God.
Trusting Him and exercising faith in His promises.
For He is and He is the rewarder of all who
diligently seek Him by faith.

In All Matters

If a man is not full of faith in the little
matters, then how in the world can he
be full of faith in more important matters.
He lacks the most esstential ingredient for
dealing with all matters great and small.

A person may be very nice, of good
character and full of good intentions.
He may be thoroughly punctual and diligent
in everything he does.
But if he doesn't exercise faith in God, then
in biblical sense, he is not faithful.
In fact, in biblical terms, he is unrighteous.
Doing right is not just a behavior, it is a
matter of the heart, one that is full of faith.

When we are full of faith, trusting God and
His Word, our words and deeds will
correspond with that faith.
They will line up and be in agreement with it.
Then we will find a consistency in our manner
of life, because God never changes and His
Word never fails.

When we are full of faith in God, we ourselves
will be seen as dependable, loyal and trust-
worthy because we have learned how to
believe and exercise faith.

The Unjust Man

The contrast is between the man who is
faithful and the man who is unjust.
The Greek word of "unjust" signifies the
absence of righteousness or justness.

The Bible says that righteousness comes
by faith, not by good deeds.
If a person isn't righteous, it is because
they lack faith.

The unjust man is deemed unjust
because he has no faith.
It is impossible for him to please God.
Whatever isn't of faith is sin, so all his
deeds, lacking faith, are unjust.
The rightness of God is not in him.

Pleasing God

Faith, the ability to, or act of believing God -
is what pleases God.
"Without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that
He is and that He is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek Him"
Hebrews 11:6

Without faith, it is not just hard to please God,
it is absolutely impossible. That is because, if
something is not of faith, it is not of God.
"Whatever is not of faith is sin"
Romans 14:23

When we have faith and put it into action,
which is what it means to believe, God is greatly
pleased.
Faith is believing God and that honors Him.

Full of Faith

"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful
also in much; and he who is unjust in what is
least is unjust also in much."
Luke 16:10

In the Greek, the word for "faithful" is the
same word for "faith".
Somehow we fail to see that the real meaning
here has everything to do with having faith.
Faithfulness is faith!

We say that "fruitful" means "full of fruit"
and "joyful" means "full of joy" so in the
same way, when we turn "faithful" around
we discover that it is being "full of faith."

We usually think of faithfulness as being
loyal, dependable, consistent and trustworthy.
Trustworthiness is the ability to be trusted,
but it is a by-product of faithfulness.
Faithfulness is about faith.

Faith is believing the Word of God, expecting
to see it come to pass.
Faithfulness is the ability to walk in faith,
exercise faith, be full of faith.

God is looking for faithful men and women,
not just those He can trust, but those who
can trust Him.
If they are able to depend on Him, then they
will be dependable.

Essence of Faith

He has made a promise to do so.
It's not enough just to believe that God can.
Biblical faith is believing that He will and He
will do it for me because that is His promise.

In the Bible, faith is not the general ability to
believe anything and everything.
Biblical faith is much more precise than that.
It has a particular basis: Faith is believing what
God has said.

Faith isn't about positive thinking.
Positive thinking is about what we can do.
Faith is about what God can do.
Faith is about what God has promised in His
Word to do.
Faith is concrete.

It's not just believing what God can do, but
believing what God actually will do because
that is His promise.
Faith makes it personal, between God and us.

Faith isn't just something we possess but its
something we use.
It is lively and energetic, especially when we
learn how to activate it.

Faith is believing what God has said!

Faith

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ,
for it is the power of God to salvation for every
one who believes, for the Jew first and also the
Greek.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed
from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall
live by faith."
Romans 1:16-17

God's way is always the way of faith, from
beginning to end and faith always comes by
revelation.
It come by a revelation of God's righteousness,
His way of doing and being right.

The revelation of God's rightness is embodied
in the Gospel of Christ.
The word "gospel" means good news.
"Christ" means Messiah or Anointed One.
This revelation is the good news about Jesus
the Anointed One.

In the Bible, the anointing is very important.
The anointing is the powerful manifestation
of God's goodness and might that completely
removes the burden and shatters the yoke of
oppression.
Paul calls the Good News of the Anointed One
"the power of God to salvation."

Salvation is not just the forgiveness of sins.
It is a total restoration of relationship with
God that includes healing, deliverance, freedom,
safety and prosperity.

Whatever is needed to be made whole is found
in the Gospel and it is available for everyone
who believes.

The good news about Jesus the Anointed One
is the revelation of God's righteousness
brought to bear in people's lives.
It comes not to condemn them but to save
them and empower them for living.
And it is all about faith.

Praying with Confidence

When we pray, expect to receive.
Hebrews says, "Without faith it is impossible
to please God, because anyone who comes
to him must believe that He exists and that
He rewards those who earnestly seek Him"
Hebrews 11:6

James says, "If any of you lacks wisdom,
he should ask God, who gives generously
to all without finding fault and it will be
given to him.
But when he asks, he must believe and
not doubt, because he who doubt, is like a
wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the
wind.
That man should not think he will receive
anything from the Lord; he is a double-
minded man, unstable in all he does."
James 1:5-8

We can't be divided about our prayers,
going back and forth, worrying about
whether or not they will be answered.
Faith pleases God and brings reward,
but doubt has no guarantee of receiving
anything from the Lord.
It is the prayer of faith that receives.

A Lifestyle of Prayer

A lifestyle of prayer is a habit of devotion,
always in communication with God and fully
consecrated to Him.
It is a persistent attentiveness to God, a life
that holds on to faith and hope, regardless of
the circumstances.
It is a peaceful life of joy, knowing that God
answers prayer.

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer."
Romans 12:12

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being
watchful and thankful."
Colossians 4:2

"Pray continually."
1 Thessalonians 5:17

"I want men everywhere to lift up holy
hands in prayer, without anger or disputing."
1 Timothy 2:8

"The end of all things are near.
Therefore be clear minded and self-controled
so that you can pray."
1 Peter 4:7

To be devoted to prayer means to be delegent
about it, to go at it with strong commitment,
to stick with it until it has achieved its
purpose.
To be watchful in prayer means to be alert for
what the Lord might be saying or revealing to
us.
Thankfulness is the oil that lubricates prayer,
declaring the goodness and trustworthiness
of the Lord and creating a divine expectation
about what He is doing.

Faith Works by Love

Prayer is a matter of the heart.
For our prayers to be effective, we must
prepare our hearts regarding love.
Paul said that faith expresses itself through
love. (Galatians 5:6)
This is true regarding prayer and includes
both love for God and love for others.

"From whence come wars and fightings among
you? come they not hence, even of your lusts
that war in your members?
Ye
lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to
have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet
ye have not, because ye ask not.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask
amiss,
that ye may consume it upon your lusts."
James 4:1-3

Prayer that is full of love for others will not
cause fights and quarrels, because it doesn't
covet.
Prayer that is full of love for God will not
seek to please itself, but God.
Part of the problem of unanswered prayer
is that we do not ask.
But asking out of selfish desires and motives
can also keep us from receiving, because we
are missing the most important ingredient,
LOVE!

Lack of love, consideration and respect in our
relationships can actually hinder our prayers,
keeping them from being answered.
The solution is found in the love of God; it
must be perfected or made complete in us.
We come to this completion by obeying God
and loving one another.

When the love of God is perfected in us, our
prayers will be effective and powerful, for
they will be all about Him and not about us.
Our prayers will arise out of love and God
will not deny that which He has perfected in
us.

Prayers

These prayers, prayed by the early church
believers are prayers for us to learn.
They are not to be memorized but meditated
upon and prayed out loud for ourselves , our
churches, our pastors and for anyone else
who needs a work of God in their lives.
These prayers will become a guide for us,
and a way out into a praying expierience that
is joyful and effective.

Prayer will become a way of life, not just a
ministry.
It isn't a duty to perform, but a relationship
to walk in with the Lord.

This kind of prayer life requires a heart that
is perfected in love, a habit of devotion, a
deep confidence in God and His Word and a
reliance upon the Holy Spirit.

Praying with Power

The New Testament believers teach us of
many different kinds of prayer.
We can find them in the books of the Bible.
They are powerful prayers because they show
the heart of God.
They show His desire to light the world with
the Gospel.
They bless and strengthen us, His people.
They bring us to completeness in Jesus!

There are prayers to break ground and
prepare the fields and the laborers, for
sowing the Gospel and laying the
foundations of Church fellowships.

There are watering prayers.
They help establish Christians in the faith,
both as individuals and as congregations, to
grow in grace and close relationship with
God.
There are watering prayers, pouring out with
the authority of heaven to bless and minister
the promises of God to us His people.

There are thanksgiving prayers returning
praise to God for what He is doing in and
through us.

There are prayers that declare the praise
worthiness of God and gives Him the glory.

The prayers are all about God from the
beginning to the end, because He is both
the One who sends and the One who gives.
So He deserves all praise and honor.

Power comes from our close relationship
with the Father and a constant reliance
upon the Holy Spirit.
Our prayers can turn our world upside
down or right side up in the Name of Jesus!
