Jesus doesn't say to us, "Have great faith
yourselves." But He does say, "Have the faith
of God."
God's faith is all-sufficient and we can have it
and use it.
We can take Christ for our faith as we took Him
for our justification, for our victories over
temptation, for our sanctification.
We can then rest in the assurance that our
faith hasn't failed to meet the demands of the
promise, because it has been Christ's own
faith.
Everyone of us can have the faith that comes
from God. He offers it to us as a gift.
For by grace are we saved through faith, it is
a gift of God.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the
Word of God.
As long as we have ears to hear the Word of
God, we can have what God says.
