Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ Who loved us, gave Himself for us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood; and to the Church, which is His body.

Our Daily Bread

God is committed to meeting our needs every day.

Giving us Each Day Our Daily Bread brings that out, but there is also a greater dynamic at work.

The Greek word for "daily" means according to many Bible commentators, "for the morrow".
This is supported by the use of a related word that's translated in Acts 7:26 and Acts 16:11 as "the next day".

Daily Bread is the bread of tomorrow.

This is a prayer concerning the kingdom of God, which is now breaking into the world.
As God's children, we have access to its blessings and benefits, so in this request we ask God to give us the bread of tomorrow, not of the next 24 hour period, but of that day when God's kingdom fully arrives on the earth.

It is "kingdom' bread. and we ask to receive today.
It is the provision of heaven, and we ask for it so that God's will may be done on the earth as it is in heaven.

It is the substance and power of heaven, and it brings healing to us.
