"Which of you by worrying can add one cubit
to his stature?"
Matthew 6:27
Jesus said these words from His Sermon on
the Mount.
He was talking about faith and worry is not
a manifestation of faith.
To worry means to be anxious and troubled
with cares.
Worry is not life-giving, it sucks life out of us.
It doesn't come from heaven, but from hell.
It is not of God, but of the devil.
"So why do you worry about clothing?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they
grow; they neither toil nor spin; and yet
I say to you that even Solomon in all his
glory was not arrayed like one of these."
Matthew 6:28-29
If we are going to think on things, lets not
think on lack; but lets focus on the promises
and provisions made for us by the Father.
When the Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not
want or be in lack Psalms 23:1.
"Now if God clothes the grass of the fields,
which today is and tomorrow is thrown into
the oven, will He not much more clothe you,
O you of little faith?"
Matthew 6:30
Our problem is 'little faith'.
This isn't faith that is gone, but faith that is
not exercised or activated.
Its one thing to have faith, but another to live
by faith.
God gave us His faith when we were saved.
We have to keep that faith strong and growing
by hearing the Word of God over and over.
"God's Word is life, an incorruptible seed."
1 Peter 1:23
When we receive that seed by hearing and
meditating on it, it gives us faith.
