The Lord is My Shepherd

"The Lord is my Shepherd, Yahweh Rohe, I shall not want."  Psalm 23:1

The shepherd takes care of the sheep, providing for every need.
He satisfies their hunger in fresh, green pastures.
He quenches their thirst and refreshes them beside the calm, cooling waters.
He restores them to wholeness.
He guides and protects them,
He leads them safely throught the valley of the shadow of death.

Isaiah 40:11,
"He will feed His flock like a shepherd;
 He will gather the lambs with His arms and carry them in His bosom."

Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep"
John 10:11

The devil is a false shepherd, the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy the sheep.
But "I have come," Jesus said, "that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly"
John 10:10

Jesus is our Shepherd, who brings us the abundant life of God.

There is healing and wholeness in Him, and no lack at all.
