Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ Who loved us, gave Himself for us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood; and to the Church, which is His body.

The Lord is Peace

"So Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it Yahweh Shalom "The Lord is Peace."
Judges 6:24

The shalom, or peace of God, is wholemess and well-being.

It signifies health, prosperity, safety, wellness, restoration and joy.

God desires to bless His people with peace.

David said, "I will both lie down in peace and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety"
Psalm 4:8

"The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace"
Psalm 29:11

In Isaiah 55:12, the Lord promises "You shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace"

This is possible because of what the Lord Jesus did, for as Isaiah 53:5 prophecied, "the chastisement of our peace was upon Him".

A great exchange took place; Jesus was chastised in our place so that we might experience His peace and wholeness in our lives.

He took our sins and gave us His righteousness.

He took our sicknesses and pains and gave us His healing and health.
