The Bible says that "Faith is the substance of
things hoped for" Hebrews 11:1
That is, faith is the underlying reality of what
we expect to see manifested.
Wasn't that what God did when He spoke His
Word?
He had every expectation of see it happen.
"By faith we understand that the worlds
were framed by the Word of God, so that
the things which are seen were not made
of things which are visible."
Hebrews 11:3
When darkness was on the face of the deep
in Genesis 1, God simply said, "Let there
be light."
He believed what He said and expected the
light to appear. "And there was light"
That is how it always was with God.
When He speaks His Word, He expects it
to be fulfilled.
"So shall My word be that goes forth from
My mouth; it shall not return to me void,
but it shall accomplish what I please, and
it shall prosper in the thing for which I
sent it."
Isaiah 55:11
