Yahweh Shalom

"So Gideon built an altar there to the LORD
and called it the LORD is Peace."

The shalom or peace of God is wholeness and well-being.
It signifies health, prosperity, safety, protection,
wellness, restoration and joy.
God desires to bless His people with peace "the LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace"
.............Numbers 6:26

"I will both lie down in peace and sleep;
for You alone, O LORD make me dwell in safety"
.............Psalm 4:8

"the LORD will give strength to His people;
the LORD will bless His people with peace"
.............Psalm 29:11

"You shall go out with joy and be led out with peace"
.............Isaiah 55:12

This is possible because of what the Lord Jesus did, for as Isaiah prophesied "the chastisement of our peace was upon Him"
.............Isaiah 53:5

A great exchange has taken place, Jesus was chastised in our place so that we might experience His peace and wholeness in our lives.
He took our sin and gave us His righteousness.
He took our sicknesses and pains and gave us His health and healing.

LORD, Thank You for looking upon us with Your favor and giving us Your peace.
You make us dwell in safety and You bless us with wholeness.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for bearing our sins and our sicknesses on the cross, that we may have Your life and health working in our bodies.
We receive it all now!
