Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ Who loved us, gave Himself for us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood; and to the Church, which is His body.

Give Us this Day our Daily Bread

God is committed to meeting our needs
every day.
This petition certainly brings that out,
but there is also a greater dynamic at
work.
The Greek word for "daily" which is
believed to mean "for the morrow."
This is supported by those who believe
it actually means "the next day."
Acts 7:26 and Acts 16:11
In other words "daily bread" is the
bread of tomorrow.
This prayer concerns the kingdom of
God, which is breaking into the world.
As God's children, we have access to
its blessings and benefits, so in this
request we ask God to give us the bread
of tomorrow, each and every day.
It is the provision of heaven, and we ask
for it so that God's will may be done on
earth as it is in heaven.
It is the substance and power of heaven.
