He is the Christ

"And it shall come to pass in that
day, that his burden shall be taken
away from off thy shoulder and
his yoke from off thy neck and the
yoke shall be destroyed because of
the anointing."
Isaiah 10:27

The name Christ is the Greek
equivalent of the Hebrew Messiah
and means "Anointed One."
In the Old Testament, there was
a special anointing which signaled
someone especially anointed by
God, who would one day arrive on
the scene and deliver His people.
Jesus is that Anointed One.
He is our King, exalted to the
throne and ruling and reigning at
the right hand of the Father.
He is our High Priest, who ever
lives to make intercession for us
before the Father.

The anointing is a very powerful
thing, it lifts the burden off of us
and completely destroys the yoke.
The anointing of Jesus is healing
for us; it removes the burden of
sickness and destroyes the yoke
of disease in our lives.

"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Spirit and with
power, who went about doing
good and healing all who were
oppressed by the devil, for God
was with Him."
Acts 10:38
